Coach at Lumos

Help students become confident speakers, thoughtful thinkers, and skilled debaters. We’re looking for enthusiastic coaches who love working with students and sharing their passion for speech and debate. From a student’s first speech to their first elimination round, you’ll help them grow and celebrate their progress along the way.

Speech & Debate Coach

‍What you’ll do
‍Lead engaging classes that build public speaking, argumentation, and critical thinking skills. Help students research topics, develop cases, and practice debating. Provide constructive feedback, prepare students for tournaments, and support their competitive goals.

‍Who we’re looking for
‍We’re looking for reliable, enthusiastic coaches with experience competing in or coaching speech and debate. Strong communication skills, a supportive teaching style, and a love of working with young learners are essential. Prior teaching or coaching experience is a plus.

‍Location: Newton, Lexington, Acton & Brookline MA + Online

Schedule: After-school evenings during the school year and 9am–5pm during summer programs.
‍
Compensation: $25-35 per hour
