Learn Public Speaking in a Fun, Welcoming Environment!
Students will write their own original speech about a topic they are passionate about and learn to deliver the speech with ethos, pathos, and logos. Students will learn about projection, body language, eye contact, and get lots and lots of practice giving speeches! The program culminates in a final speech showcase where your child will perform their speech for the class!
This is a high-energy, active program filled with fun speaking games and activities that your child will absolutely love! And our instructors are friendly, warm, and great at making public speaking exciting. Your child will develop their public speaking confidence, and have a really enjoyable summer experience as well!

6:1 Student Teacher Ratio
We group our students by age and experience into classes of twelve with two teachers per class. Having a small class size is absolutely critical for making sure that every student gets to speak - even our shy or more reluctant students. The 6:1 student teacher ratio also means that our instructors really get to know each child's strengths and weaknesses and provide targeted coaching throughout the week.

In school, public speaking can be scary, intimidating, and high pressure. We take the exact opposite approach: we want public speaking to be fun, easy, and familiar.
Public speaking confidence comes from lots of practice, and that's what we do at Lumos. We incorporate lots of fun speaking games and activities into the curriculum so students can really enjoy themselves as they practice public speaking, and so it's not so intimidating. Lumos provides a low-pressure environment, where your child has the space to experiment and really find their own unique voice!
