Build Confidence with Weekly Speech Practice, Coaching, and Optional Homework!

To demonstrate the wide variety of speech events, Speech Club will take on a whole new curriculum every month! For November, we will be exploring 2 events: declamation and storytelling. Students will choose an informational, or dramatic piece to present. For declamations, students will memorize their speeches, and use a professional tone and demeanor in presenting their speeches. For storytelling, students will act out their pieces, using voices and gestures to bring different characters to life. Students in speech club will continue to find their voices as public speakers, challenging themselves in a whole new way!

We guarantee a 4:1 student-teacher ratio, which means constant feedback, and numerous opportunities for students to practice their writing and speaking skills!

Students will have optional homework assignments with weekly feedback.

Speech Club Online

Four to One Student Teacher Ratio

We do classes of 8 students with 2 instructors per class. We've found that, especially for online coaching, having a small class size is absolutely critical for making sure that every student gets to speak - even our shy or more reluctant students! The 4:1 student teacher ratio also means that our instructors really get to know each child's strengths and weaknesses and provide targeted coaching throughout the week.

Students will practice a variety of different speeches - from argumentative, to informative, to impromptu! The key to building speaking confidence is practice, practice, practice!

Some students need to speak louder, some students need more eye contact, and some need to work on speaking speed. Every student has different strengths and weaknesses!

Private Coaching Built-In

The most effective teaching we do is in one-on-one coaching with students. For each week's assignments, your child will receive individual feedback and coaching. In addition, during our class times, students will get a chance to practice giving speeches with live feedback on their unique strengths and weaknesses!

Especially in public speaking, students have to learn that mistakes are OK, as long as they keep on going and give it their best shot and try again! Our instructors emphasize positive feedback and encouragement.

Our instructors are some of the warmest, kindest people you will ever meet. We are all here because we love the challenge of helping every student find their unique voice.
